Socialising online	- run blogs, post pictures on social media outlets... => deliver messages about social issues (environmental pollution, teenage behaviours, career crisis) to more people => raise public awareness on these issues => help people have a proper attitude towards things around them/connect and sympathize with minority groups/raise efforts to address global problems - use social media as a channel of brand marketing => run online ad campaigns => reach prospective customers from far and wide => likely to boost sales and increase more revenue	- use social media to read news, chat with friends,... => become obsessed with social media and spend too much time surfing the Internet => lead a sedentary life + looking at the computer/mobile phone’s screen for too often => develop obesity and eyesight problems - use social media to seek friends/sexual or romantic partners/job opportunities... => reveal too much personal information in (to attract people who can help them fulfill these purposes) => some people may exploits this information with bad motives (committing a crime, stealing your money) => your life is put at risk
The impact of technology on children	- allow children from rural areas to access a good education => be equipped with knowledge and skills => improve their future job prospects	- provide students with various means of entertainment => easily distract them from study => affect their study result
AI/Robots	- Artificial intelligence technologies carry out complex tasks like humans but with virtually no errors => can be applied to in healthcare industry => perform surgeries with greater precision => save more lives - artificial intelligence can understand complex human messages and be responsive => help computers better process users’ commands and execute them with great complexity to achieve the optimal results => can be installed on virtual courses to help students better interact with lesson content, get their tests marked automatically => increase study efficiency	- AI is widely applied in factories to automate industrial production processes => no human workers are needed => human workers become redundant and face risks of unemployment => resort to crimes to earn their livings => cause losses/threatens the life of innocent civilians - AI are widely used in many aspects of lives => terrorists may exploit AI for bad purposes => manage to fully manipulate many people’s lives and make themselves less detectable => innocent people suffer greater loss/face more serious threats
Storing data online	- provide an unlimited storage of data => allow companies and individuals to manage their resources better => improve work/study efficiency	- bad security system => hackers can get access to sensitive information => enable cybercriminals to commit crimes (kidnapping, impersonating…)
Online shopping	- shop and buy things on the Internet => customers can select the products and make the purchase from home => eliminate the need to travel to the stores => save time and dedicate time to more important activities - engage in online shopping => buy things through apps or e-commerce platforms => more likely to get discounts, special offers or free delivery service => obtain the items at bargain prices => save money for other purchases	- go shopping online => form judgements about the products based on the information (texts, images, videos) presented on the websites => get real products that differ from the online models (in terms of appearance, quality, quantity) => customers are disappointed => lose their trust in the brand and give unfavorable product reviews => the brand fail to have loyal customers and attract prospective ones. - go shopping online => perform transactions online => have to reveal bank account number/ID number and other items of personal information => vulnerable to cyberattacks => lose money and live under constant threats to one’s life

Opinions are divided on whether future societies will depend a lot on robots or whether robots can be harmful to our society. While I acknowledge why some people are concerned about the negative effects of robots, I still advocate the view that it will drive our community forward.

On the one hand, it is true that robots can pose a threat to our society in some ways. In fact, when robots are applied in factories to automate industrial production processes, fewer human workers are needed. This means that human workers are now becoming redundant and facing risks of unemployment. Without having a stable income, unemployed people have to resort to crimes such as robbery or even murder to earn their livings, which may threaten the life of innocent civilians.

However, I still hold the view that robots are indeed an important invention for human society. The first benefit is that robots can carry out complex tasks like humans but with virtually no errors. With such a high degree of accuracy, robots can be applied in the healthcare industry to perform surgeries with greater precision. As a result, more lives can be saved. An example of this is how robots are employed to do microsurgery on human's brains, a task which used to be impossible in the past due to the limitation in human skills.

In conclusion, while I agree that robots can exert negative impacts on society, I still believe that the positive effects it brings are far more important.
